My aunt took me to see Phish at Alpine Valley in 2000. I was 15 and had no idea who Phish was. My tastes varied in those days but I spent most of my time split between listening to Led Zeppelin and Punk, The show itself didn't impress me much at the time but Trey Anastasio's guitar licks mesmerized me. By the time I was twenty I had become obsessed with Phish and later Umphrey's McGee. Seven years and hundreds of shows later I am a Summercamp addict. I think about it all year. True and funny story: Lately I've been having money problems. Last night I had a dream I had to pawn some of my things to pay for a Sumemrcamp ticket. I woke up freaked out but quickly realized I have an entire month. I drifted back to sleep only to be awoken by a phone call from a casual friend of mine. A couple years ago he sat next to most of the members of Slightly Stoopid on a plane and they hit it off. He just called to say that me and him were on the VIP Guest List. Score! I am literally counting the seconds.
